Leaving…Again

The countdown is now beginning for me. First, to find a job. Second, it’s time to get out of the US and begin my journey to Alicante, Spain.

I returned from London last Tuesday, were I had the most spontaneous and enjoyable trip I had taken in quite a long time. The feeling is incredible when you walk around and see modern buildings surrounding edifices that have been around for over 400 years in some places.
I left with my passport and boarding pass in hand. I arrived in Heathrow, caught the Tube, and headed into Boroughs, where I stayed in the Great Dover Castle Hostel on Great Dover St. I had never had the feeling before of not knowing anyone in a place. But I enjoyed it, I left on my own and walked around Boroughs towards the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge and many many other central London sights.

My little monkey came with me. He also saw all the sights! At the end of my first day I found the Boroughs Market. A small market located under a bridge, with some of the most international food I had seen since Miami. This brought great joy to me as a found a fellow Brasilian selling empanadas. After a quick conversation, we parted ways. I spent the next four days walking around London with a friend that I met up with for my next three nights. The photos are plentiful, and the memories unforgettable.

My next leg is to continue my studies at the Universidad de Alicante, in Alicante, Spain. I leave first week of September and the countdown has begun.
